In light of the recent events in Haiti, we’re trying to help out in any way we can! From now until March 31st, 30% of all sales made on this website will go to support the rescue and relief efforts to the Haitian people. The monies raised will go to such charities as the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. And, on March 31st, 100% of sales will go towards the cause. So, stock up on your favorite designs! Chelsea Handler has been dazzling everyone with her sharp wit and biting, yet brilliant comments on the audacity of celebrity since her days on “Girls Behaving Badly,” and The MTV and VH1 series, “Best Week Ever” and “I love the (decade of your choice)!” So, it’s no surprise she would continue to dazzle us on her own hit show, “Chelsea Lately,” raking in the highest ratings of the entire E network! We’re Moving on Up!

I’m so excited….we’re moving to Brentwood! I signed my new lease today, and I cannot wait to begin the move. The space is fantastic! While I’m working on my fabulous designs, I can stoke a fire on the wood-burning fireplace and grab some veggies off of the mini garden on my balcony! Some of my stores are close by, like the fabulous Porta Bella….it’s going to be fantastic!

2009 GLAAD Awards w/ Jessica Alba, Bill Paxton, and More…

I am still on a high from the not-surprisingly fun-filled gifting suite I participated in for this year’s Glaad Awards with GBK! Not only did I meet Jessica Alba, who gushed over my gold dipped rings and lavastone earrings, and the fabulous Miss Coco Peru, who hosted the event wearing her amazing Dara Ettinger bauble throughout the entirety of the show, but I met some incredible people in the suite as well. There were amazing chocolates from Bodega; I swear I gained 15 lbs the day I met them, but enjoyed every minute of it, and Beth Russell was showcasing her amazing new perfume inspired by her sweet little daughter Lily and their incredible story. I cannot wait to read the book, and find out about their journey and organization to help children around the world.

Jessica, who I have been a fan of since she emerged as the Dark Angel, was fabulous, and I am thrilled she loved my designs. I hope to work with her again at some point, and I’m really looking forward to seeing her shot out and about wearing my designs! Bill Paxton and his son were such a pleasure as well, and I really enjoyed talking to Brenda Strong, who loved the nature inspiration of my collection. It’s really become such a fantastic part of my job, doing these events; and they just keep getting better: thanks GBK!

Well, I’m waiting on baited breath for my issues of OK magazine to appear on the newstands. I met with the fashion director, Niria Portella, during my NY trip in late March, and she loved the line. It was so great to meet her in person, and I’m so happy to be working with her! Many of the pieces were shot for upcoming columns, including the 24kt gold dipped acorn bracelet for their “Gold” feature, and the 24kt gold dipped large amethyst cluster necklace for their Mother’s Day special “where-to-buy” guide. Cannot wait to see, and I’m looking forward to all of your comments as well! Let me know what you think.
